Long Robe
Long Robes
A long robe is a different piece than a short one. It falls to the ankle or the floor, moves when you walk, wraps you in more fabric. Some people find that too much for daily use; others find it exactly right. If you like the way a long robe feels, no shorter version really substitutes for it.
The construction has to account for the length. The belt loops need to sit at the waist so the robe doesn't drag. The shoulder seam needs to fit properly so the whole thing doesn't pull. The cuffs need to sit at the wrist — not falling over the hand, not stopping mid-forearm. All of it takes proper drafting, which is why bad long robes are so common: it's easier to make a short robe work than a long one.
Our long robe collection covers silk, bamboo, and satin. Silk long robes are the piece most people photograph — the drape works, the fabric catches light, the whole thing reads as intentional. Bamboo long robes are the everyday version, machine-washable and comfortable enough to wear all evening. Satin long robes fall between the two, with more visible weight than bamboo and easier care than silk.
Belt construction matters even more on a long robe — a properly sewn belt with real belt loops keeps the whole thing from unraveling every time you sit down.
Care follows fabric — silk hand-washes, bamboo cool machine wash, satin gentle cycle. Sizes XS through 6XL. Italian design, free worldwide shipping.
