Women's Robes
A robe is one of those pieces that gets more use than expected. Over pajamas in the morning, over nothing after a shower, over a dress when the room's cold and you don't want to change. The robes that get worn are the ones that work in all those situations without making you think about it.
Our robe collection is organized by fabric and length, and there's a reason for that. The fabric determines what the robe is actually for. Silk robes are for feeling like something — the bias cut moves properly, the fabric regulates temperature so you're not sweating under it in July or freezing in December. Bamboo robes are the everyday version, exceptionally breathable and soft, machine-friendly. Satin robes fall between the two, with more visible drape than bamboo and easier care than silk. Lace robes are usually about detail work rather than head-to-toe lace, often paired with silk or bamboo as the base.
Length matters almost as much. Short robes (mid-thigh, often kimono-cut) are the ones you wear while getting ready or having morning coffee. Mid-length robes work over most sleepwear and layer well. Long robes — floor-length, usually silk — are the pieces you unpack in a hotel room and immediately feel like the trip is going to go well.
The kimono cut is worth mentioning separately. Wider sleeves, straight lines, no belt fussiness — it wears like an outer layer more than a robe, which is why it's the one most people keep in rotation.
