Loungewear is a broader category than lounge sets — the whole set of pieces you wear at home that aren't specifically pajamas. Individual pants, individual tops, robes worn as outer layers, longer cardigans, tunics over slim pants. The way people dress at home has become its own category, and the pieces that work are the ones that read as intentional rather than accidental.

The construction case for loungewear is different from pajamas. Loungewear needs to work when someone else sees you in it — a video call, a delivery, a neighbor stopping by. That means the pieces have to fit properly, hang correctly, and read as intentional. Cheap loungewear (t-shirts, sweatpants, plush robes) reads as loungewear; well-cut loungewear reads as clothes.

Fabric choices matter. Bamboo for the everyday base — soft, breathable, machine-washable. Silk for the more elevated pieces — the ones you throw on for a longer day at home. Satin for weight and drape when it's needed.

Color palette across loungewear stays neutral: ivory, black, charcoal, navy, natural linen tones, muted seasonal colors. Nothing loud.
